Anointing of the Sick

Unción de los Enfermos

Any parishioner who is ill, anticipating surgery, or in the hospital or a nursing home, may request the Sacrament of Anointing of the sick from a priest. Please be sure to advise the hospital or nursing home admissions office of your status as a Catholic. 

Persons should not delay the celebration of this sacrament until they are gravely ill. Rather, those whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age should be anointed.  

In times of unexpected serious illness or hospitalization, contact the parish office at (509) 547-8841 and we will have a priest come to your home or hospital room. If parishioner is in the hospital, please contact the chaplain at the hospital first, thank you

Cualquier feligrés que esté enfermo, anticipando una cirugía, o en el hospital o en un hogar de ancianos, puede solicitar el Sacramento de la Unción de los enfermos de un sacerdote. Asegúrese de informar a la oficina de admisiones del hospital o del asilo de ancianos sobre su condición de católico.

Las personas no deben retrasar la celebración de este sacramento hasta que estén gravemente enfermas. Más bien, aquellos cuya salud se ve seriamente afectada por la enfermedad o la vejez deben ser ungidos.

En momentos de hospitalización o enfermedad grave inesperada, comuníquese con la oficina parroquial al (509) 547-8841 y enviaremos un sacerdote a su casa o habitación del hospital. Si el feligrés esta en el hospital, por favor de contactar al capellán del hospital primero.
