My brothers and sisters in Christ,

May the Lord continue to bless our families and our parish community! 

May this Easter Season give you the peace of Christ in your hearts! Remember that the month of May is dedicated to the School Pastoral Ministry. I encourage everyone to pray deeply for all the current students at our St. Patrick’s Catholic School and, if you are able to, contribute financially to this parish ministry. Our school is one of the most important ministries that our Bishop Thomas A. Daly would like to see growing in our parish and in the whole Diocese. Moreover, we pray for Fr. Dr. Lourdu Mummadi as the principal of the school and all the staff and teachers that are working hard to teach all our kids the Catholic faith and the knowledge that they all need to be successful in life! May God always protect our school, students, and teachers/staff members! Do not forget to ask the different parents of our church if they would like to enroll their children into our Catholic School. Catholic Education is very important for all our children! There will be an open house on May 18^th from 10 am to 3 pm. Everyone is welcome to come and check all the great things in our Catholic School. I truly encourage everyone to stop by the school this Sunday. 

Last May 8^th, we all heard that the white smoke came from the Vatican chimney announcing that the new Pope was chosen. People were saying the famous Latin phrase: Habemus Papam! We have a Pope! Now that we have the new Pope, we are encouraged to pray for him. His name is Pope Leo XIV (Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost). He is Augustinian. He is from the USA. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He used to work in Peru. He is 69 years old. He said we have to be disciples of Christ. He was asking to be a Missionary Church, a Church of Peace. He asked the Blessed Virgin Mary to lead us always in Peace. Let us all pray for Pope Leo XIV, first Pope from the United States of America! We thank God for everything he is doing for our Catholic Church!

Congratulations to all the kids from our parish who made their Confirmation this weekend!

Mis hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,

¡Que el Señor siga bendiciendo a nuestras familias y a nuestra comunidad parroquial! 

¡Que este tiempo de Pascua les dé la paz de Cristo en sus corazones! Recordemos que el mes de mayo está dedicado a la Pastoral Escolar. Animo a todos a orar profundamente por todos los estudiantes de nuestra Escuela Católica de San Patricio y, si pueden, contribuyan financieramente a este ministerio parroquial. Nuestra escuela es uno de los ministerios más importantes que a nuestro Obispo Thomas A. Daly le gustaría ver crecer en nuestra parroquia y en toda la Diócesis. Además, oramos por el Padre Dr. Lourdu Mummadi como director de la escuela y por todo el personal y los maestros que están trabajando arduamente para enseñar a todos nuestros niños la fe católica y el conocimiento que todos necesitan para tener éxito en la vida. ¡Que Dios siempre proteja a nuestra escuela, estudiantes y maestros/miembros del personal! No olvide preguntar a los diferentes padres de nuestra iglesia si les gustaría inscribir a sus hijos en nuestra Escuela Católica. ¡La educación católica es muy importante para todos nuestros niños! Habrá una jornada de puertas abiertas el 18 de mayo de 10 a.m. a 3 p.m. Todos son bienvenidos a venir y ver todas las cosas buenas de nuestra Escuela Católica. Realmente animo a todos a pasar por la escuela este domingo. 

El pasado 8 de mayo, todos escuchamos que el humo blanco salía de la chimenea del Vaticano anunciando que el nuevo Papa había sido elegido. La gente decía la famosa frase en latín: ¡Habemus Papam! ¡Tenemos un Papa! Ahora que tenemos al nuevo Papa, los animamos a rezar por él. Su nombre es el Papa León XIV (Cardenal Robert Francis Prevost). Es agustiniano. Es de Estados Unidos. Nació en Chicago, Illinois. Solía trabajar en Perú. Tiene 69 años. Dijo que tenemos que ser discípulos de Cristo. Él pedía ser una Iglesia Misionera, una Iglesia de Paz. Le pidió a la Santísima Virgen María que nos guiara siempre en Paz. Recemos todos por el Papa León XIV, primer Papa de los Estados Unidos de América. ¡Damos gracias a Dios por todo lo que está haciendo por nuestra Iglesia Católica!
