Mission Statement:

“In partnership with parents and the parish community, St. Patrick Catholic School prepares virtuous graduates instilled with a thirst for knowledge enlightened by faith.”

Healthy:

A graduate of St. Patrick Catholic School is becoming more perfectly conformed to the perfect humanity of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh.  Engaged in a process of self-knowledge, self-acceptance and self-gift, and all of this in faith, a graduate is capable of living as a member of a community.  Thus, a graduate is able to begin to answer the questions:

“Who am I?” and “What must I do?”
 Therefore, a graduate will demonstrate:

  • Care for his/her own body through good hygiene, exercise and healthy eating.
  • Care for his/her own property and the property of others.
  • Concern for the feelings of others, especially those who are in any way marginalized.
  • Respect for the bodies of others in word and action.
  • Honor for his/her own person through grooming, dress and behavior.
  • Self-confidence in relationship with peers and adults.

Holy:

A graduate of St. Patrick Catholic School has begun to live his/her life in intimate union with God the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit.  A graduate has begun to listen to Jesus and learn from Him how to love God and neighbor, both as an individual and as a member of a family, within a parish community.

Therefore, a graduate can be described as one who:

  • Participates actively in the sacramental life of the Church, and for those who are Catholic, weekly Sunday Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
  • Is able to judge good and bad from the perspective of Jesus Christ, in accordance with Sacred Scripture & Tradition.
  • Has the courage to do the right thing, in the presence of others or alone.
  • Is willing to forgive freely and ask forgiveness of others.
  • Has a balanced personal prayer life, incorporating components of Marian devotion and Sacred Scripture.
  • Unites his/her own hurts and injuries with the sacrifice of Jesus as offerings for the good of others.
  • Exercises the virtues of modesty and chastity.

Smart:

A graduate of St. Patrick Catholic School is a disciple who has mastered the fundamentals of human knowledge in language arts, mathematics, history, science, religion, music and sports.  Through the study of these truths of human knowledge, a graduate seeks to contemplate the Author of Truth.  A graduate’s knowledge is acquired continuously, at appropriated steps and deepens his/her own understanding, so that this knowledge becomes more and more part of his/her own self.

A graduate is one who:

  • Possesses a solid foundation in core subject areas according to the Diocese of Spokane Curriculum Guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively in more than one language and through a variety of media, including conversation, public speaking, writing, and electronic media.
  • Thinks critically and solves problems independently.
  • Does his/her school and home work using all his/her personal gifts and skills, showing completeness and quality.
  • Is able to understand and evaluate ideas from various points of view.
  • Is able to express his/her ideas clearly and effectively.

Helpful:

A graduate of Saint Patrick Catholic School, in communion with the charity of the Good Shepherd, is to become a true Catholic leader after the example of our Lord Jesus Christ.  With Jesus Christ’s human life as his/her own role model and principle of living a graduate is able to stand and act in the community demonstrating dedication and commitment to service.

A graduate is one who:

  • Serves his/her community through a volunteer and social service program implemented at Saint Patrick School.
  • Is generous in placing his/her gifts, talents, and skills at the service of others.
  • Takes initiative in helping others in the school and the parish community.
  • Expresses care, concern and compassion for others.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and provides a strong role model for others.
  • Has begun to discern the will of God with the guidance of others through his/her prayer, study, and personal volunteer activities in the community.
